BOSTON MAGAZINE NOVEMBER 2002 I love Michael Blanding for writing an awesome piece in Boston Magazine about me, Heywood, Glitter Switch: Drag / Karaoke. He did so with humor, respect, few mistakes and with a nod to pushing their envelope a bit. However, there are some things that are in quotes that are not direct quotes from me. I am finding this is bound to happen and you can only hope for the best. I didn't say, "I'd like to see the lesbian scene more inclusive of men," said something to the effect of, "I'd like to see the dyke scene more inclusive of fags." Big difference. When you read press, remember that we are only human; those being interviewed, those writing, those fact checking, and even those editing. What you are reading might not be 100% accurate. |
