About the ArtsUnion Marketplace Series:
The Somerville Arts Council's ArtsUnion project is designed to bolster economic activity in Union Square through cultural
programming. To learn more about the other markets, go to their website or
call 617.625.6600 (x2985). The goals of the ArtsUnion Market Place series include: increasing the visibility of Somerville's
strong local artist population; increasing economic activity for participating vendors and the area in general; and cultivating
the square's artsy, diverse and unique ambiance.
Truth Serum's Urban Country Fair will combine Exhibitors, Craft and Art Sellers, Boston SkillShare workshops and old time countrified musical entertainment.
Country Fairs are about sharing knowledge with neighbors while showing off your best efforts and maybe making some money while
having fun. Truth Serum's Urban Country Fair will celebrate the same!
We are looking foR Crafters, Artists and Home Growers etc who want to sell their wares:
-Crafts and Arts that are based around recycled materials and/or all natural materials.
-Items with natural, farming, growth, etc themes. (we're being pretty loose here)
-Individual people/sellers with potted plants and herbs
-Potters who make pots for home gardens etc
-Artistic bird house/bird feeder designers/builders
-Yarn spinners, knitters etc.
-People who have a craft to sell who can do demos at their table of their craft.
-Beekeepers with bee products
-These are just suggestions. We've got plenty of room, so it should be easy to convince us you
should be involved.
-you get the idea
Everyone is welcome. While we'd like your work to fit the Urban Country
Fair theme, and we want to support Somerville artists / residents, we
still have plenty of room for folks and want a diverse selection of
vendors/artists/exhibitors. We're encouraging vendors to show people what they make and
how it's done when possible. Our goal is 25 plus vendors to create a
successful, fun, entertaining, educational and great tasting market!
